With a background in Anxiety related disorders, Trauma Informed Care, Crisis and Stress Management, Jessica brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to Monarch Behavioral Health. As the founder of this empowering platform, Jessica is committed to helping individuals navigate the complexities of life.

Armed with a Bachelor’s degree in Child Development and a Master’s in Social Work from Florida State University, Jessica is not only academically qualified but also deeply passionate about making a meaningful impact in her community. She is also a Qualified Supervisor in the State of Florida for Registered Interns in Social Work. As a mother of two amazing children and her own struggles with being an over-thinker, Jessica understands the importance of mental well-being in everyday life personally and professionally.

Specializing in anxiety, stress management, trauma, women issues, parenting, boundaries and life skills, Jessica provides personalized support to guide individuals towards their personal goals regarding their mental and emotional well-being. Holding a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from esteemed universities, Makayla combines academic excellence with practical expertise.

Her commitment to supporting children’s mental health led her to pursue specialized training in play therapy, providing her with a unique and effective approach to connect with and aid children. Makayla has garnered extensive experience in diverse settings, including schools, community centers, and private practice, consistently applying evidence-based practices to assist children and their families in navigating mental health challenges.

In her therapeutic endeavors, Makayla focuses on children dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, and behavioral issues. Employing a compassionate approach, she guides her young clients towards healing and growth, emphasizing the importance of building strong relationships. Makayla values open communication, collaborating closely with children and their families to achieve mutually defined goals.

Her approach is grounded in empathy and understanding, creating a safe space for clients to explore their unique journeys to well-being.
